With just a few basic supplies and we’ll get you going on your first knitting project! Designed for brand-new knitters this is a great way to explore the craft without making a big commitment. Intro to Knitting happens on the first Thursday of every month from 6 - 8 pm at Knit on Pearl.


Express Learn to Knit - Easy Alpaca Cowl - $40
Fridays, March 6 & 13, 6-8pm with Carolyn

Cast on your first project and whip up this soft and squishy neck warmer. In this two-week class You’ll learn to cast on, knit in the round and bind off, as well as gain an understanding of how knitting patterns are written. This class is perfect for brand new knitters or anyone needing a refresher.

Finish It! - $25
Wednesday, Feb. 28, 6 - 8 pm with Carolyn

Blocking, seaming and weaving in ends. Learn proper techniques to make your knitting look like it was finished by a pro! Bring a project in need of finishing touches. We’ll also talk about decisions you can make before you even cast on that will improve your finished product.

We  need at least two students to hold a class, so plan to bring a friend!  If the dates and times of our classes don't work for you, we also schedule private lessons by appointment.

Gryer Shawl - $40
Mondays, Jan. 8 & 15, 6-8 pm with Steph

Just one skein each in three colors makes the beautiful work of art pictured to the right. Simple garter stitch with occasional yarn over bands make this a great advanced beginner project. Students should be comfortable knitting and purling.

Here's a list of classes we're cooking up for this winter. New this year, FREE FIRST THURSDAY KNITTING! We're so excited to offer Intro to Knitting sessions from 6 -8pm on the first Thursday of every month! If you know someone who wants to try knitting without a big financial or time commitment, this is the opportunity for them. To sign up for this or any of the classes listed below, give us a call at 307 733-5648. As always, registration is first come, first served and paid registration ensures your spot in any class.


Classes Highlighted in GREEN are for designed for beginners. PURPLE classes are great for all levels. Those highlighted in RED require prerequisite knowledge, which is explained in italics in the class description.

You can tell it’s wrong, but don’t know how to fix it? Dropped stitches, yarn overs, knitting backwards… even simple projects can be fraught with peril. We’ll show you how to recognize and fix your mistakes so you can keep your knitting moving forward.

German short rows will change your knitting shaping forever! These mitts whip up in a flash, and are a great stash-buster for all of that multi-colored yarn you have lying around. We also have plenty of great yarn choices at the shop and just one skein will make a pair! If you already know how to make a knit stitch you will enjoy this class!

Learn to Knit - Make a Hat! - $60

Whether you are picking up needles for the first time, or just need a refresher, this simple hat pattern will get your sticks clicking. In this three-week class you will master knitting, purling, working in the round, and decreasing using double-pointed needles.

Need inspiration? A helping hand with a tricky pattern? Want to take another class that doesn’t fit into your schedule? Pick-A-Project is just the thing. In this class everyone is working on something different and we all learn from each other.
