Always wanted to try socks? Now’s your chance to jump in feet first with Erin as your guide. Learn to turn a heel and taper a toe. You’ll never be without travel knitting again!

Next Step Crochet with Jane — $20
Monday, September 26, 6 - 8pm

For beginners with some crochet experience. 
Learn to churn out a beanie, slouch, or any hat size in between! This class will offer a review of techniques learned in Crochet for Beginners, and will add instruction for circular starts, increasing stitches, and deciphering a crochet written pattern or graphic chart. Pattern included.

Warm water, a little soap and agitation turns knitted wool into an amazing dense fabric great for purses, slippers and mittens. The Gelato bag shown here is just one of the pattern choices offered for this class. Other options include felted slippers or felted mittens. Steph will also explain the artsy technique of needle felting to apply colorful designs to felted fabric.


After School Knitting for Kids! with Carolyn - $40

Beginners welcome! (Age 9 and up)

This two-week session will introduce your student to the pleasure of knitting. We'll cover all the basics, and get started on a hat or scarf. Limited to 4 students.

Learn to Knit a Hat with Carolyn - $40
Mondays, November 7 & 14, 6 - 8pm
Beginners welcome!

If you’re brand new to knitting, or just want to get beyond scarves on straight needles, this learn-to-knit class will teach you the basics. Carolyn will cover the knit and purl stitch, casting on, knitting in the round and working with circular and double-pointed needles. And you’ll be able to keep your head warm when you’re done!

Pick-A- Project with Carolyn - $60*
Tuesdays, November 8, 15, & 22, 6 - 8pm
For knitters of all levels. Limited to 5 students.

In this class, everybody works on something different, and we all learn from each other. Whether you need guidance with a particular pattern or technique, or the inspiration to start something new, Pick-A-Project is the class for you! Students may sign up for all three weeks, or prorate one or two classes for $25 per session.

Deciphering the Language of Knitting with Stephanie - $20

For advanced beginner/ intermediate knitters with pattern-reading experience.

This beautiful piece uses both variegated yarn and slipped stitches to create a dynamic blended color scheme while only knitting with one color at a time. A Jackson wardrobe essential, you will wear this shawl time and time again! *Please note there is a one-week gap between the two class sessions, to allow time to knit the first section of this piece at home.

Finishing with Carolyn - $20

You have knit all the pieces. Now what? A great finishing job will make your sweater shine. Learn basic finishing techniques like blocking and seaming using mattress stitch, 3-needle bind off and kitchener stitch. You’ll also learn how to plan for a great finish before you even knit your first stitch!

Learn the basics of crochet including: foundation chains, double crochet stitch, single crochet stitch, slip stitch, row turns, stitch counts and gauge measurement, and finishing. You’ll also get a primer on simple pattern reading, both written and charted. Patterns included with class, for a great stash buster or felting project!

Stranded Hat with Carolyn — $40
Tuesdays, September 13 & 20,  6 - 8pm
For intermediate knitters with pattern-reading experience.

Stranded knitting is the art of carrying two colors along a knitted row to create beautiful patterns. This technique lends itself beautifully to hats and other objects knitted in the round. We’re offering a choice between two patterns for this class. Choose either the Tin Can Knits’ “Banff” hat in two colors, or if you are feeling like a wild west adventure, try our own Buffalo Hat Kit.

Intermediate Crochet with Jane  - $20
Mondays, October 10 & 17, 6 - 8pm

For advanced beginners who are comfortable with basic crochet stitches.

Take your crochet to the next level with more complicated pattern reading for boot toppers or leg warmers, including, basic shells, color work and decreases. You’ll leave with the tools you need to crochet almost anything - doilies, baby sweaters, whatever!
